No Surprises Act
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who are not using insurance with an estimate of expected charges for services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your mental health care services.
A Good Faith Estimate will be provided before services begin or upon request. If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges.
For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
